About Mike Langer..

Healing and growth. This is what people are looking for most often when they seek counseling. Helping people experience them is my primary vocational aim. I enjoy working with adults, emerging adults, and adolescents, particularly addressing concerns related to trauma, spirituality, major life transitions, anxiety, mid-life concerns, and the existential questions of identity, meaning, and purpose. My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and radically empathetic.

My approach is trauma-informed, radically empathetic, and rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Existential and Psychodynamic theory, Polyvagal theory, ACT, and DBT. I help clients explore the internal conflicts that keep them stuck—often between parts of themselves that want change and parts that resist it. By building trust and understanding between these parts, deep healing becomes possible.

I also draw on over a decade of experience as a pastor, spiritual director, and chaplain to support those navigating religious trauma, spiritual transitions, or existential questions. If my approach resonates with you, I’d be honored to connect and explore how we can work together.
